WELL OVER 30,000 MILITARY WORKING DOGS HAVE SERVED SINCE WWII. MANY DIED SAVING AMERICAN TROOPS. DISCOVERY CHANNELS DOCUMENTARY "WAR DOGS" ESTIMATED OVER 10,000 AMERICAN LIVES WERE SAVED IN VIETNAM BY OUR K9 SOLDIERS
AS OF SEPT. 10, 2009:
US Postal Commemorative Stamp: In 1996 Historian Mike Lemish first requested through the proper channels a War Dog Stamp honoring all military working dogs. Since then, theStamp Advisory Comm. has approved dozens of Postal Stamps honoring all our nation's corporate cartoon characters but still no stamp for our K9 heroes that have saved thousands of American lives since WWII. Tens of thousands of names on stamp petitions have been turned in with no results. PLEASE! Call your congressman and House members...asking WHY! WHY!!
DEMAND THAT WE HONOR THE WAR DOGS. CONTACT OPRAH, TOM HANKS, MEL GIBSON, OR ANY IMPORTANT HIGH PROFILE PERSON THAT CAN HELP. PETITIONS HAVE NOT WORKED. THIS WILL TAKE A COMBINED EFFORT FINDING AN IMPORTANT VOICE FOR THE DOGS...THAT CAN GET THE ATTENTION OF THE CITIZENS STAMP ADVISORY COMMITTEE
